Do you want to help create safe and sustainable placements for children and youth? We are looking for a qualified social worker or behavioral scientist who wants to combine qualified guidance of foster homes with close collaboration with social services, schools, and other stakeholders. With us, you will have a meaningful role where your skills make a concrete difference every day.
About the role
As a foster home consultant, you will work closely with our foster homes and ensure that the placed child receives good care and a safe everyday life. The role includes, among other things:
- Continuously guide and support foster homes, both planned and as needed.
- Participate in planning and follow-up, e.g., contribute to the work with implementation plans and follow up on goals together with the client.
- Coordinate support measures regarding the child's health, school, and leisure and, if necessary, initiate/guide to the right measures.
- Collaborate with relatives and work for good contact according to established plans/agreements.
- Recruit and assess new foster homes according to established routines and methods.
- Write monthly reports/documents and participate in meetings with clients and other partners.
Qualifications (requirements)
- Degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in behavioral science.
- Good knowledge of SoL and LVU, as well as foster care and social change work.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing.
- Driver's license B and the ability to travel within the region (foster home visits, meetings, etc.).
Meritorious
- Experience as a foster home consultant, social worker for children and youth, family therapist, or similar qualified social work.
- Methodological competence such as BBIC, MI, CBT/low-affect approach and experience with BRA-fam in investigation/assessment.
- Experience working with NPF, school absenteeism, domestic violence, honor-related issues, or substance abuse/criminality (risk/protection assessments, safety considerations).

Practical information
- Location: Stockholm with travel in the region.
- Extent: Full-time/Part-time
- Start date: As soon as possible/according to agreement.
- Employment form: Permanent with probationary period / fixed-term.
- Background check: We require a criminal record extract according to practice for work close to children and youth.
